Desde cedo mantive uma ligação próxima ao som, principalmente à música. Cresci rodeado de instrumentos, tendo participado em alguns grupos musicais, experiências que me deram disciplina e sensibilidade para escutar e criar.
Foi apenas ao ingressar na licenciatura em CInema na Universidade da Beira Interior que descobri verdadeiramente o potencial do som enquanto linguagem artística. A sonoplastia revelou-se então como o meio onde podia unir técnica e criatividade, transformando sons em atmosferas, narrativas e emoções que dialogam com a imagem.
Hoje vejo no trabalho sonoro uma forma de ampliar a experiência cinematográfica, explorando o detalhe e a expressividade do som para dar profundidade às histórias e ao imaginário que as sustenta.
Acerca de mim
From an early age, I maintained a close connection to sound, especially to music. I grew up surrounded by instruments and took part in several musical groups—experiences that gave me discipline and sensitivity to listen and create.
It was only when I entered the Film degree at the University of Beira Interior that I truly discovered the potential of sound as an artistic language. Sound design then revealed itself as the medium where I could unite technique and creativity, transforming sounds into atmospheres, narratives, and emotions that converse with the image.
Today, I see sound work as a way to expand the cinematic experience, exploring the detail and expressiveness of sound to bring depth to stories and to the imagination that sustains them.
